About Relay:

Relay is a warehouse-to-doorstep delivery network purpose-built to scale to the demands of e-commerce. For every parcel we deliver, we drive 40% fewer miles than- and emit roughly half of the greenhouse gases of existing solutions.Β

As a highly-operational business, we rely on data to guide everything we do. We are a small but mighty team that work on everything from operations research to optimise thousands of parcel deliveries daily, to detailed business metrics that drive our expansion and investment decisions, and everything in between.Β

We are investing heavily in our data team, and are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to join our quality team. The team is focussed on improving delivery quality, by ensuring that all aspects of Relay’s network are operating with minimal risk of lost or stolen parcels. The Data Analyst will be fundamental to setting the direction of the team, identifying and monitoring key risks, and working closely with operations and engineering to improve observability, gather insights, and minimise risk.

In this role, you will:Β

  • Define key performance indicators and design automated reports & dashboards to understand where parcels are going missing or not being received by the customer.

  • Proactively identify key areas for improvement in the network to minimise loss risk, and identify which teams in the business are responsible.

  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to better track where parcels are in the network, and suggest product changes or new data points to improve visibility.

  • Identify and tackle instances of fraud, specifically customers, couriers, or pitstops.

  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to monitor the performance of and suggest improvements to Relay’s AI models that detect proof of delivery compliance.

  • Get hands on! You will see the results of your analysis in action by spending time at our sortation warehouse and delivering parcels.
